Originally starting out life as a US spec LHD car, and distributed by the British Motor Co in December 1969, this matching numbers Series 2 roadster has joined our Brokerage service following a respectable and sympathetic at-home restoration including RHD conversion, new 5-speed gearbox, and a complete engine and carburettor overhaul.
With 6 previous UK owners since the car was imported from California in 1989, this superb Series 2 has been well loved over the years and is what we would confidently call "bedded in" thanks to all of its happy years on the road. Re-painted in its heritage original Jaguar Regency Red with Biscuit interior and Black hood (as stated on its JDHT certificate), it was also used as our luxury hire car where it was the guest of honour at weddings carrying the Bride and Groom, anniversary celebrations bimbling around The Cotswolds, and weekend days out to heritage sites. A very special car that holds a lot of sentimental memories.
We also put our own Moss Jaguar stamp on it by adding sympathetic and reliable upgrades that will last for years of sublime touring. The existing wiring loom was replaced with new and all of the hoses under the bonnet were changed to silicone to eliminate the threat of breaking down. We also installed our bespoke 7" touchscreen satnav system, which is hand trimmed in matching Biscuit leather and slotted in place of the original radio, and comes pre-loaded with Apple CarPlay.
The car will also come with a full history and detailed photographs of the various previous works.
Prior to delivery to the new owner, the car will go through our workshop for a thorough 50 point health check and full service. It will also come with our full warranty and we welcome any inspection.
